Shrasti Samajik Sansthan is playing a vital role in empowering the community people especially the women by enhancing their capacity and getting them involve in group activities. Shrasti Samajik Sansthan has more emphasized on forming SHGs in Dahknapurva and nearby slums of Transport Nagar.

Shrasti Samajik Sansthan facilitated the women to form SHGs and at present the women are able to form 25 Self Help Groups in the target area. Shrasti Samajik Sansthan has also build their capacities so that they can manage their group and work as group for the betterment of their community, poor & vulnerable women are encouraged to get involved in the activities. Out of 25 SHG one SHG of transport Nagar is working very well they are circulating the money within themselves and their monthly turnover is Rs.20000/- to Rs. 25000/- but other SHGs are not so stable but organization is closely working with them to make them stable. These SHG are not linked with the bank. SHGs are enabling them to have their self respect & dignity in the community. Women are looking for the benefit of community & their families by the means of SHG’s. They are having their regular meetings & savings. Shrasti Samajik Sansthan encouraged SHGs for inter loaning among them so that they can help each other in their emergency need and will be able to bring harmony and team spirit within the group.
